Let's build a solar-powered water pump together in Dhaka
Volunteers in Dhaka are raising $250 for a solar-powered water pump at the Pioneer community hall.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $80, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 166 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Permits and inspections: $30
• Tools hire and delivery: $30
• Materials: $190
