Let's build a solar-powered water pump together in Dehiwala
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $350 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 512 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $350 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Tools hire and delivery: $80
• Materials: $215
