Let's build a solar-powered water pump together in Coyoacán
Volunteers in Coyoacán are raising $750 for a solar-powered water pump at the old Pioneer bus depot.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Pioneer bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $750.
It will serve about 522 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $750 goes:
• Materials: $380
• Permits and inspections: $95
• Safety equipment and signage: $100
• Tools hire and delivery: $175
