Let's build a solar-powered water pump together in Caxias do Sul

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Unity bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $800. It will serve about 458 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $800 goes: • Materials: $430 • Permits and inspections: $95 • Safety equipment and signage: $120 • Tools hire and delivery: $155 I hope life is good to you. - Cristiane
