Let's build a solar-powered water pump together in 6th of October City
Volunteers in 6th of October City are raising $400 for a solar-powered water pump at Unity Primary School.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 556 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $280
• Permits and inspections: $25
• Safety equipment and signage: $45
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Sending love. It takes guts to ask. Well done. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings.
