Let's build a skate park together in Rawalpindi
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $500 for materials.
🇵🇰 Pakistan735 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $80, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 355 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $380
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $30
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
Thank you so much.
