Let's build a skate park together in Mekelle

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $120, and the remaining cost is $250. It will serve about 113 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $250 goes: • Materials: $165 • Permits and inspections: $30 • Safety equipment and signage: $45 • Tools hire and delivery: $10 Glad we found this place. - Fikru
