Let's build a skate park together in Medan
A community-led a skate park at the old Liberty bus depot that will serve 213 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Liberty bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $140, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 213 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $550 goes:
• Materials: $380
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Tools hire and delivery: $75
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

How is Ahmad doing now?
Best of luck. Looking forward to the next update. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
is there anything that isn't money that would help Ahmad?
Thank you. If you're in Medan I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Fair thing to want to know.
Wishing you peace, Ahmad. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings.
Hope you get there. After 16 years in farming I know how hard it is to ask for anything. God bless
