Let's build a skate park together in Juazeiro do Norte
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $700 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $700.
It will serve about 501 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $700 goes:
• Materials: $520
• Tools hire and delivery: $100
• Permits and inspections: $80
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
Updates from Cláudia
Quick update: $227 raised so far (32%). the plan for permits and inspections is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Thank you all. We're at 22% now ($155). I'm honestly stunned. we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.

Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. We're a small family in Johannesburg but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Juazeiro do Norte.
