Let's build a skate park together in Jakarta
Volunteers in Jakarta are raising $600 for a skate park at the Pioneer health centre yard.
🇮🇩 DKI Jakarta, Indonesia416 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $170, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 191 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $600 goes:
• Materials: $400
• Permits and inspections: $65
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $95
Thank you so much.
