Let's build a skate park together in Houston
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $1,100 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Jacaranda bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,100.
It will serve about 209 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $165
• Permits and inspections: $350
• Safety equipment and signage: $585
