Let's build a skate park together in Hannover
Volunteers in Hannover are raising $1,950 for a skate park at Acacia Park.
🇩🇪 Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany1,348 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,950.
It will serve about 429 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Materials: $1,350
• Permits and inspections: $165
• Safety equipment and signage: $280
• Tools hire and delivery: $155
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
