Let's build a skate park together in Glasgow
Volunteers in Glasgow are raising $2,900 for a skate park at Freedom Park.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Park, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,900.
It will serve about 565 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Materials: $2,450
• Tools hire and delivery: $220
• Permits and inspections: $230
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Hope it all works out, Kylie. More neighborhoods should do this. Greetings from Johannesburg.
