Let's build a skate park together in Dhaka
Volunteers in Dhaka are raising $500 for a skate park at Harmony Primary School.
🇧🇩 Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh857 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $75, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 258 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $360
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $70
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Hang in there, Ishrat. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings.
best of luck, Ishrat. Shared it with a few friends. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
Hope things get better soon, Ishrat. Hope you get there. My husband and I read this together. God bless!
