Let's build a skate park together in Dallas
A community-led a skate park at the old Sycamore bus depot that will serve 419 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,850.
It will serve about 419 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,850 goes:
• Materials: $1,800
• Permits and inspections: $175
• Safety equipment and signage: $390
• Tools hire and delivery: $485
