Let's build a skate park together in Contagem
A community-led a skate park at the Maple health centre yard that will serve 455 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $100, and the remaining cost is $1,250.
It will serve about 455 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Materials: $1,050
• Permits and inspections: $75
• Safety equipment and signage: $90
• Tools hire and delivery: $35
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Updates from Fabiana
Update from Contagem: I made the first payment toward materials. We're at 89% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($205 in total) the plan for permits and inspections is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Wishing you peace. Hope you get there. My neighbor in Houston donated after I showed her your page. Greetings from Houston.
