Let's build a skate park together in Chennai

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Park, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $100. It will serve about 545 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $100 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $45 • Permits and inspections: $10 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
