Let's build a skate park together in Cali

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $900. It will serve about 172 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $900 goes: • Permits and inspections: $70 • Materials: $690 • Safety equipment and signage: $140 With deep gratitude, Valentina
