Bengaluru

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $140, and the remaining cost is $650. It will serve about 507 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $650 goes: • Materials: $510 • Tools hire and delivery: $95 • Safety equipment and signage: $45 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Rahul

Wanted to say thank you properly. 69% funded and the first invoice got paid this week.
Thank you all. We're at 21% now ($135). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts. - Rahul
