Let's build a skate park together in Amsterdam

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Sycamore Park, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $550. It will serve about 458 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $550 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $135 • Tools hire and delivery: $150 • Permits and inspections: $265 I hope life is good to you.
