Gwagwalada
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Pioneer bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $550. It will serve about 324 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $550 goes: • Materials: $420 • Permits and inspections: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $60 • Tools hire and delivery: $25 Thank you so much. - Henry
