Let's build a sensory garden for children with autism together in Tallahassee
Volunteers in Tallahassee are raising $2,050 for a sensory garden for children with autism at Liberty Park.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $1,250, and the remaining cost is $2,050.
It will serve about 251 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $260
• Materials: $1,550
• Safety equipment and signage: $240
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hang in there, Julian. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Nagpur
