Let's build a sensory garden for children with autism together in Faisalabad
Volunteers in Faisalabad are raising $350 for a sensory garden for children with autism at Lotus Park.
🇵🇰 Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan775 views
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 510 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $350 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $65
• Materials: $200
• Tools hire and delivery: $85

This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Bogor so I could bring a meal.
