Let's build a repair café workshop together in Taguig
Volunteers in Taguig are raising $650 for a repair café workshop at the Union health centre yard.
🇵🇭 Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines730 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $145, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 147 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $650 goes:
• Materials: $540
• Permits and inspections: $20
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
Thanks for being kind about this.
