Let's build a repair café workshop together in Sylhet

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty community hall, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $300. It will serve about 386 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $300 goes: • Materials: $155 • Permits and inspections: $25 • Safety equipment and signage: $55 • Tools hire and delivery: $65 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Emon
