Let's build a repair café workshop together in Springfield
Volunteers in Springfield are raising $4,500 for a repair café workshop at the old Acacia bus depot.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Acacia bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $4,500.
It will serve about 538 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $4,500 goes:
• Materials: $3,600
• Permits and inspections: $270
• Safety equipment and signage: $340
• Tools hire and delivery: $290
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
