Let's build a repair café workshop together in Nnewi

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 201 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $350 goes: • Materials: $175 • Permits and inspections: $50 • Safety equipment and signage: $65 • Tools hire and delivery: $60 I hope life is good to you.
