Let's build a repair café workshop together in Negombo

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $650 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Pioneer bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $650. It will serve about 259 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $650 goes: • Materials: $480 • Permits and inspections: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $80 • Tools hire and delivery: $45 Every share and every dollar helps.
