Let's build a repair café workshop together in Mombasa
Volunteers in Mombasa are raising $750 for a repair café workshop at the Freedom vacant lot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $750.
It will serve about 560 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $750 goes:
• Materials: $550
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $60
• Tools hire and delivery: $105
