Let's build a repair café workshop together in Kinondoni

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Park, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $250. It will serve about 447 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $250 goes: • Materials: $185 • Tools hire and delivery: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $20 Thank you for reading my story.
