Let's build a repair café workshop together in Indore
Volunteers in Indore are raising $400 for a repair café workshop at the Harmony vacant lot.
🇮🇳 Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India535 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 477 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $65
• Tools hire and delivery: $70
• Materials: $265
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Updates from Ajay
Good news. Because of your gifts ($210 in total) I made the first payment toward tools hire and delivery. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Quick update: $95 raised so far (24%). the plan for tools hire and delivery is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Thank you all. We're at 28% now ($110). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward tools hire and delivery.
