Let's build a repair café workshop together in Hamburg
A community-led a repair café workshop at the old Unity bus depot that will serve 250 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Unity bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $800.
It will serve about 250 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $800 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $320
• Tools hire and delivery: $250
• Safety equipment and signage: $230
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Thinking of you, Tim. More neighborhoods should do this. Love from Duisburg
