Let's build a repair café workshop together in Fresno
A community-led a repair café workshop at Acacia Primary School that will serve 217 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,100.
It will serve about 217 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $370
• Tools hire and delivery: $450
• Safety equipment and signage: $280
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
