Let's build a repair café workshop together in Birmingham
A community-led a repair café workshop at the old Harmony bus depot that will serve 112 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Harmony bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $3,150.
It will serve about 112 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,150 goes:
• Materials: $2,300
• Permits and inspections: $130
• Safety equipment and signage: $280
• Tools hire and delivery: $440
