Let's build a repair café workshop together in Berlin
Volunteers in Berlin are raising $2,350 for a repair café workshop at Baobab Primary School.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $2,350.
It will serve about 588 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Materials: $1,450
• Permits and inspections: $310
• Safety equipment and signage: $280
• Tools hire and delivery: $310
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

I hope things turn around soon. My husband and I read this together
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Berlin.
You're not alone, Patrick. Great idea, hope you get there. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings.
Sending good thoughts, Patrick. Shared it with a few friends. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Berlin
