Let's build a repair café workshop together in Amiens
Volunteers in Amiens are raising $2,100 for a repair café workshop at the Pioneer health centre yard.
🇫🇷 Hauts-de-France, France1,463 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $940, and the remaining cost is $2,100.
It will serve about 525 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,100 goes:
• Materials: $1,700
• Permits and inspections: $130
• Safety equipment and signage: $165
• Tools hire and delivery: $105
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Sending love. I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings.
So sorry you're going through this, Serge. Shared this with my family. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
