Let's build a rainwater harvesting system together in Nashik
Volunteers in Nashik are raising $500 for a rainwater harvesting system at the Lotus health centre yard.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 459 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $330
• Permits and inspections: $15
• Safety equipment and signage: $85
• Tools hire and delivery: $70
Every share and every dollar helps.

Wishing you the best. Your post was clear and honest. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Nashik
Sending good thoughts. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I hope March is when things finally get easier. All the best.
Take care, Yogesh. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Hang in there, Yogesh. Shared this with my family. Wish I lived closer to Ribeirão Preto so I could bring a meal. All the best.
Good luck, Yogesh. Your post was clear and honest. Don't give up.
Wishing you peace. Shared it with a few friends. After 23 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
