Let's build a rainwater harvesting system together in Mérida
Volunteers in Mérida are raising $600 for a rainwater harvesting system at the old Jacaranda bus depot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Jacaranda bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 555 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $600 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $150
• Materials: $350
• Safety equipment and signage: $100
