Let's build a rainwater harvesting system together in Laval
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a rainwater harvesting system - we need $950 for materials.
🇨🇦 Laval, Quebec, Canada856 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $950.
It will serve about 294 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $950 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $160
• Safety equipment and signage: $440
• Permits and inspections: $350
Thank you so much.

Take care, Scarlett. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor in Lahore donated after I showed her your page. Take care.

So sorry you're going through this. Great idea, hope you get there. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Quetta.
