Let's build a rainwater harvesting system together in Kasarani

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Maple bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $650. It will serve about 389 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $650 goes: • Materials: $470 • Permits and inspections: $50 • Safety equipment and signage: $55 • Tools hire and delivery: $75 Every share and every dollar helps.
