Let's build a rainwater harvesting system together in Düsseldorf

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,600. It will serve about 152 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $2,600 goes: • Materials: $2,000 • Permits and inspections: $165 • Safety equipment and signage: $150 • Tools hire and delivery: $285 Every share and every dollar helps.
