Let's build a rainwater harvesting system together in Campinas

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,250. It will serve about 286 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $1,250 goes: • Materials: $950 • Permits and inspections: $50 • Safety equipment and signage: $110 • Tools hire and delivery: $140 With deep gratitude, Beatriz
