Let's build a playground together in Wellington
Volunteers in Wellington are raising $3,600 for a playground at the Sycamore community hall.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $3,600.
It will serve about 350 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,600 goes:
• Materials: $3,300
• Permits and inspections: $125
• Tools hire and delivery: $175
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
