Let's build a playground together in Tema

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $65, and the remaining cost is $550. It will serve about 526 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $550 goes: • Materials: $460 • Tools hire and delivery: $55 • Safety equipment and signage: $35 With deep gratitude, Lawrence
