Let's build a playground together in Shinjuku
A community-led a playground at Maple Park that will serve 257 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $3,150.
It will serve about 257 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,150 goes:
• Materials: $2,500
• Tools hire and delivery: $320
• Permits and inspections: $330
