Let's build a playground together in Memphis
A community-led a playground at the Unity vacant lot that will serve 462 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $3,550.
It will serve about 462 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,550 goes:
• Materials: $2,800
• Permits and inspections: $330
• Safety equipment and signage: $115
• Tools hire and delivery: $305
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
