Let's build a playground together in Mandaue

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $550 for materials.

Mandaue

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $550. It will serve about 292 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $550 goes: • Permits and inspections: $50 • Tools hire and delivery: $105 • Materials: $395 With deep gratitude, Joyce
