Let's build a playground together in Lahore
A community-led a playground at Union Primary School that will serve 99 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 99 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $300 goes:
• Materials: $210
• Permits and inspections: $15
• Safety equipment and signage: $45
• Tools hire and delivery: $30

More neighborhoods should do this. I hope November is when things finally get easier. All the best.
