We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $450 for materials.

Jodhpur
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 434 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $450 goes: • Materials: $210 • Permits and inspections: $55 • Safety equipment and signage: $70 • Tools hire and delivery: $115 Glad we found this place. - Alka

Take care, Alka. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Laredo.
