Let's build a playground together in İzmir

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,050. It will serve about 561 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $1,050 goes: • Materials: $740 • Permits and inspections: $110 • Safety equipment and signage: $70 • Tools hire and delivery: $130 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

      The list at the bottom is the whole picture. materials is the biggest at $740. Thanks for looking so closely.
